Artist Statement – “Talipapa” Acrylic on Canvas, 5 ft x 10 ft By Angono Ateliers Association Philippines In collaboration with Nemesio “Nemiranda” Miranda, with concept and design by Nemiranda “Talipapa” is a large-scale collaborative artwork that captures the vibrant, chaotic beauty of a local market scene. Painted in acrylic on canvas, this 5-by-10-foot piece reflects the dynamic spirit of Angono’s artistic community. Each brushstroke tells a story of everyday Filipino life—vendors, buyers, fresh produce, and shared conversations. This work celebrates tradition, community, and resilience, paying tribute to our cultural identity through collective expression. Created by members of the Angono Ateliers Association with concept and design by Nemiranda, “Talipapa” embodies unity in diversity, merging individual styles into a cohesive, meaningful visual narrative rooted in heritage.
